The Lower Deck welcomed 2010 with our annual charitable New Year’s Eve Mardi Gras gala this year in support of The Everyday Heroes Foundation, a charity that represents our dear friend Oscar Martens. The evening was a great success with a sell-out crowd as Chef Rodney Cole’s team introduced several new hors d’oeuvres for the event. Our “roving reporter” caught some great shots, and for the first time, we gave our guests the opportunity to have their picture e-mailed to them at home. The evening raised a grand total of over $2000 for the fund and we’d like to thank our sponsors including Labatts, Coca Cola, Z103.5, Jackson Triggs, Direct Cash, Minute Man Press, Russell Food Equipment, The Coast, Tour Tech East, Pete’s Frootique, Monarch Brokers, Bacardi and Charton Hobbs.
